North Central’s Show Choir Competition

Welcoming Top Show Choirs to North Central

 

From 2003 to 2020, North Central hosted the North Central MIC Choral Competition. Welcoming schools from both the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (“The MIC”), the athletic and academic union of eight of Indiana’s largest public high schools, and other in-state and out-of-state groups, The MIC was a March tradition on show choir calendars.

 

The combination of the onset of the COVID pandemic (the 2020 MIC, held on March 7, was one of the last show choir competitions that season) and a major renovation project at North Central that started in 2021 put a lasting pause on the MIC.
