CPO COMMITTEES AND CHAIRS

COUNTERPOINTS AND DESCANTS CHAIR

These members are in charge of securing parental/adult chaperones for contests, trips, and overnight events. We need each parent who is able to help in this capacity to do so.  We tend to have the same parents each week helping in the task of taking responsibility for your children. Coordinate Desparents and Counterparts for the end of the year celebration.

COSTUME COMMITTEE

The costume committee will need to assist in organizing, labeling, and assisting with  minor alterations. While not a requirement, we are in need of parents who can sew by hand and by machine. This committee will be assigned a chair who will work directly with the customer and the directors.

SPIRIT/ SPIRIT WEAR COORDINATORS

We are in need of a couple of parents who are able to coordinate the sale of spirit wear, car magnets and yard signs at the beginning of each year.  The spiritwear coordinators will work with the directors to organize, order, and distribute spirit wear orders. Spirit coordinators will also organize snack bags, locker signs, etc. before special events.

TRUCK DADS AND MOTHER TRUCKERS

Throughout the show choir season we will need tech parents to coordinate the technical needs of both CP and Descants. This will include loading equipment before and after competitions, setting up equipment at the competitions, and assisting the student tech crew. A parent volunteer will also be needed to transport our equipment from NC to the competition sites. A chair will be assigned from this committee to coordinate tech needs with the directors.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE:

This committee will be in charge of organizing the different fundraisers throughout the year. Individual chairs for Half-Notes, trash bag sales, More Joyful Grounds of the Season, State Fair Parking, and Lucas Oil will be assigned from the committee. The fundraising committee will also seek out additional fundraisers to support NC Choirs.
